Strengths: Wrist shot and backhand shot
First Hat Trick: 17 March 1996
Trades:
Injuries: 3/17/97 Broken right ankle (during a Team Abby playoff game). Both the tibia and fibula were broken and surgery was required to fix the ankle. There is one pin in the tibia and a plate with 6 screws in the fibula. On injured list for the rest of the year until the summer of 1998. 2006: Car accident, rear-ended and now have back and neck injury. Out Indefinitely.
Player Information: I started playing ice hockey in 1993. Since then I have participated in hockey schools ranging from the Ken Yackel Hockey School to the Jeff Norton Hockey Camp. In 1994 I was coached for one class by Igor Larionov who is one of the greatest hockey players to come out of the Russian system. Other NHL players that I have skated with include Jeff Norton (Nordie), Sandis Ozolinsh (Sandie), and Tommy Pederson. My second hockey nickname, Wisconsin, was given to me by Jeff Norton.
In 1997 I was injured with a broken ankle. Once my injury started to heal I decided to try coaching hockey since I could not skate yet. In the summer of 1997 I was assistant coach for one of the NCWHL green teams. Then in February of 1998 I was head coach for a Women's tournament team playing in Las Vegas, NV. By coaching I was able to keep involved with hockey and learned to see the game in a new perspective. Now I am just happy to be out on the ice and to be able to skate again.
